Helpful Tips for Optimum Health

  • Hydrate – Proper water consumption, daily, is vital for optimum health.  Water not only hydrates the body, which is about 60% water, but it assists in flushing the body of unwanted toxins and is bio-identical to ocean water and chlorophyll but it helps with weight management.  Aloe Vera and Coconut waters are great for skin health, organ health, and digestive assistance.
  • Greens – Make the calcium-rich, low-oxalate greens (such as broccoli, bok choy, dandelion greens, and watercress) the backbone of your daily diet.
  • Fruits – Consume lots of fresh organic fruits which are rich in vitamins, make sure you brush your teeth regularly and balance your fruit consumption with other food groups high in protein and minerals to balance the sugar intake.
  • Seeds and Nuts – A great source of protein and minerals, include seeds and nuts in your daily diet.  The fat in seeds and nuts assist with the absorption of minerals and provides protective phytochemicals.
  • Sprouted Legumes – Legumes such as lentils and mung beans will help keep our blood sugar level between meals.  Legumes are a great choice because they provide protein, iron, and zinc while low in fat.
  • Sprouted Grains – Buckwheat and Quinoa are great carbohydrates and protein rich foods that help maintain your energy levels.  Eat them in the form of crackers and cereals.
  • Vitamin B12 – Supplement daily or weekly vitamin B12.  Another great option is to consume nutritional yeast or other foods fortified with vitamin B12.
  • Vitamin D – If sunlight is of no concern to you, this is the best source of vitamin D, otherwise, supplement.
  • Iodine – Wen we consume a significant amount of cruciferous vegetables e.g. broccoli, cabbage, kale, or ground flaxseeds it is especially important to maintain an adequate level of iodine.
  • Detox – The body stores foreign substances and toxins in its fatty deposits.  As a result, we may carry as much as ten extra pounds of unhealthy mucus-harboring toxic waste.  Detox using a safe detox program.  Know your body before selecting a detox program and consult your doctor or homeopathic professional for advise.
  • Express Love – Love can be expressed in many ways.  Love yourself well…take up Yoga, meditate, exercise, get a massage,  volunteer, and get adequate sleep.  By loving yourself well, you will manage stress, live in peace, and feel fulfilled.  Love is the “Secret Sauce”!
